Kingston Harbour sits on the southern coast of Jamaica in the capital city Kingston. This natural harbour covers about 74 square kilometres and has served for centuries as a major port for shipping and trade. Today it supports one of the busiest container terminals in the Caribbean.

Kingston Harbour is framed by mountains and hills which give a scenic view of the city. The Port of Kingston on the eastern side is Jamaica’s largest port with modern facilities for large cargo ships and cruise vessels. The harbour also supports an active fishing community where many families earn income from snapper, grouper, tuna, and other species.
