About the Project
Since 2006, Ramat Hanadiv has worked to restore lesser kestrels in Israel. Each year, ~50 rehabilitated kestrels (mostly fallen chicks) are ringed and released.
A previous nesting attempt ended when invasive mynas killed the female and ate the eggs. Since then, pairs have returned—successfully fledging 2 צעירים in 2021.
We hope this live stream helps monitor and protect the nest for a successful season.
Camera installed and maintained by Charter Group Birdcams (University of Haifa & Shamir Research Institute), funded by a private donor.
