ABOUT THIS LIVESTREAM
Virtual Railfan’s live train cameras at Quanah, Texas, capture the action on BNSF’s Red River Valley Subdivision at milepost 191.88. Hosted by the City of Quanah and sponsored by the Quanah Economic Development Corporation, the cameras are mounted on the old Railway Express building, featuring a PTZ camera (movement based on operator availability) and a static camera. The feed showcases a wye connecting to the Chickasha Subdivision branch to Altus, Oklahoma, and a yard handling local traffic, unit trains of grain and rock, and weekly storage movements. The mainline sees intermodal trains to the Alliance Intermodal Facility, coal trains to south Texas and Louisiana, and unit trains carrying oil, chemicals, grain, and rock, with foreign power from Ferromex, Norfolk Southern, and KCS. The Quanah, Acme, and Pacific Depot once stood across the street, and Tower 27 was at the west end of the wye.
